Top 9 Extra-Comfortable Shoes For Plantar Fasciitis [Available Online]
Extra-comfortable shoes that’ll instantly relieve your foot-pain and make you feel like your feet are resting on soft feathery clouds.
TIP: If you don’t have any shoes that are specially designed for Plantar Fasiitis. Get Them Now! I can assure you that it’s a world of difference.
Make sure that you get few pairs of shoes that are specially designed for Plantar Fasiitis and wear them ALL THE TIME.
That means right from the first few steps that you take when you get up (the most painful ones), when you’re inside or outside the house.
You probably don’t want to go running everyday without your favorite pair of shoes, but trust me it’ll be worth it.
Let’s get right to the point…..
…when I started out, I bought a few pairs on Amazon since the ones I found in the local stores (after hours of searching) were atleast twice or thrice the price online plus they had a limited stock with a not a lot of variety.
1) Running Shoes/Workout Shoes for Plantar Fasciitis (Asics)
For workout purpose, I highly recommend getting a pair of running shoes from Asics. These are my absolute favorites!
I have tried a bunch of other pairs before and absolutely loved these. They are shock absorbing, meaning you don’t feel every bump on the street which is a big plus. They also have a pair for men :
For women -
Also, I would avoid running uphill for while. It’s better if you rather go for a gentle than an extensive work out with a lot of speed!
I even changed my everyday running routine to an everyday walking routine for some time right in the start.
2) Everyday Wear Shoes for Plantar Fasciitis (Vionic)
If you need a pair of shoes that are really comfortable on your heels I recommend these from Vionic.
I have a friend who has plantar fasciitis and works as a nurse and she’s up on her feet all day long. She recommended me these and told me that she was extremely absolutely satisfied with them.
They are also a little less expensive. I got my pair for less than $80.
3) Cushioned Slippers for Plantar Fasciitis For Women (Orthaheel)
Buy some comfortable and supportive slippers and ALWAYS wear them inside. I got these (Link goes to Amazon) -
They have different and unique styles.
I think those are for women, so if you are a guy, I apologize that I can’t recommend you a pair (However, I found these slippers for men (http://www.amazon.com/Spenco-Siesta-Slip-On-Shoes-midnight/dp/B005FZJ0WY/ref=sr_1_41?ie=UTF8&qid=1394280242&sr=8-41&keywords=slippers+plantar+fasciitis).
Again, I can’t stress this often enough: don’t ever walk around in anything that does not support your plantar fasciitis until you fully recovered…
….to get your feet pain-free 24/7, I highly recommend to also get something for the night.
I got these, especially because they are more comfortable to wear than the most braces out there, that look like you broke your foot –
It’s also worth it to look into buying insoles. I found it to be very expensive to buy loads of plantar fasciitis shoes, so I decided to keep a few of my normal shoes but to use an insole with these. I highly recommend this brand. It’s super simple and comparably fairly inexpensive –
You can even wear sandals, if they are supportive (also a good option to wear in the shower!) –
Stretches and Exercices
Right after wearing the right shoes, it is so important to do appropriate stretches and exercises every day. Best is to do it right in the morning.
I found the following helpful video by Dr. Perez that shows some good stretches that you don’t need any special equipment for (he talks a lot in the start, skip to 03:36min to directly see the stretches) -
I have also heard from multiple sources that a foot rocker is a very effective solution that only takes a few minutes a day and releases pain. I haven’t tried this myself but I’ll provide you a link below, in case you are interested –
